WORLD IMMUNIZATION DAY
THEME: THE BIG CATCH-UP

World Immunization Day (WID), celebrated 25th April, aims to highlight the collective action needed to protect people from vaccine-preventable diseases.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is working with partners to accelerate rapid progress in countries to get back on track to ensure more people, particularly children, are protected from preventable diseases.
We need to act now to catch up with the millions of children who missed out on vaccines during the pandemic, restore essential immunization, and strengthen primary health care to deliver immunization.
The goal of WID is for more children, adults – and their communities – to be protected from vaccine-preventable diseases, allowing them to live happier, healthier lives.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY INTERVENTION STRATEGIES
- Create a platform or promote a verifiable and effective platform for immunization.
- Support/Partner a foundation or NGO or Health agency(s) or parastatal of the state or federal government.
