WORLD HEPATITIS DAY

There are different diseases that affect humans. These diseases cause different complications in the body, bring about unwanted changes and result in a change in lifestyle for those affected. Many times, people become diseased and sick because they are ignorant, ignorant of diseases and the factors that cause them. One such disease is ‘HEPATITIS’.
Hepatitis means inflammation of the liver. The liver is a vital organ that processes nutrients, filters the blood, and fights infections. When the liver is inflamed or damaged, its function can be affected. There are 5 different types of hepatitis but 3 are common, which are:
Hepatitis A: is the result of an infection with the hepatitis A virus (HAV). This type of hepatitis is acute and short-term.
Hepatitis B: Hepatitis B is a serious liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV). For most people, hepatitis B is short term, also called acute, and lasts less than six months. But for others, the infection becomes chronic, meaning it lasts more than six months. Having chronic hepatitis B increases your risk of developing liver failure, liver cancer or cirrhosis — a condition that permanently scars the liver.
Hepatitis C: Hepatitis C is a contagious liver disease that can lead to cirrhosis, liver failure, and liver cancer. Early diagnosis can prevent liver damage, but it can be fatal without treatment. It can spread through contaminated needles or blood. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) causes hepatitis C. It invades liver cells, causing inflammation, swelling, dysfunction, and eventual organ damage.
